BUSHWHACKED or GWBUSHWHACKED by YOUR GOVERNMENTWow. It could take forever to read all the reasons Bush shouldn't have been elected. Too bad Gore made such stupid mistakes that Bush could twist and turn to his advantage.
These are great too: Top 11 facts that prove George W. Bush is too stupid to be President
If Gore hadn't made such stupid exagerations, and losing his credibility on the true issues, there is no way someone like Bush could have been elected. Reading all the stuff about the real GW Bush makes me sick to know he was appointed our president. Check out all these links listed, and also check out a book I saw: "IS OUR CHILDREN LEARNING?" by Paul Begala. The title is an actual Bush quote from a Grand Rapids Michigan speech Jan 11, 2000. Gives Bush speeches and mangling of the english language, but also includes in depth research of his crimes against the people. Why Gore and/or his campaign staff was too stupid to use this material is beyond me. I have no sympathy for Gore; he dug his own grave. I look forward to a real presidential candidate in 2004. Some quotes and tidbits from the book: George W Bush joined the Texas National Guard to avoid Vietnam, and then went AWOL for a year, and no one cared, because of who his daddy was! "The most important job is not to be governor, or first lady in my case." G.W. Bush, San Antonio Express-News, 1/30/2000. Political arm twisting to get big oil to finance George W Bush over many years. "It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it." (Reuters, 5/5/2000) "What I am against is quotas. I am against hard quotas. Quotas they basically delineate based upon whatever. However they delineate, quotas, I think vulcanize society. So I don't know how that fits into what everybody else is saying, their relative positions, but that's my position." (San Francisco Chronicle, 1/21/2000) Huh? "When I was growing up, it was a dangerous world, and you knew exactly who they were. It was us versus them, and it was clear who them was. Today, we are not so sure who the they are, but we know they're there." (Iowa Western Community College, 1/21/2000) paranoia? "If you're sick and tired of the politics of cynicism and polls and principles, come and join this campaign." (Hilton Head, South Carolina, 2/16/2000) "I was raised in the West. The west of Texas. It's pretty close to California. In more ways than Washington, D.C., is close to California." In Los Angeles. (Los Angeles Times, 4/8/2000) "You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier." Describing what it's like to be governor of Texas. (Governing Magazine, 7/98) "This is Preservation Month. I appreciate preservation. It's what you do when you run for president. You gotta preserve." Speaking during Perseverance Month at Fairgrounds elementary Scool in Nashua New Hampshire. (Los Angeles Times, 1/28/2000) gee, a real life SNL Gilda Radner, never mind. "It's the Wizard of Oz ticket: Cheney needs a heart and Bush needs a brain." (Jay Leno, 7/25/2000) More Bushisms and political news at www.Slate.com |
